Next session of information technology forum to focus on educa

The UN Information and http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1545 Communication Technologies (ICT) Task Force http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1088 has organized the two-day Global Forum from http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?575 13 to 14 April to bring the experts http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?599 together with UN officials to explore ways http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?679 ICTs can provide a practical, cost-effective http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1442 and enabling solution for improving the http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1424 quality and quantity of education.

Launched by Nane Annan, http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?941 wife of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, at http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?458 the first phase of the World Summit on the http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?739 Information Society (WSIS) in December 2003, http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1259 GeSCI works at local, national and http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1566 international levels, convening and http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?552 supporting groups as they deliver effective http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?726 ICT-in-education strategies.

At Thursday morning's http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?318 "break-out" sessions, the Forum is http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?328 scheduled to examine how partnerships can http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1526 maximize complementary strengths, ways to http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1112 increase and make more affordable access to http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1161 ICT in education, learning strategies and http://www.nefga.org/forum/entry.php?1222 content development; and capacity-building for leaders, managers, teachers and administrators. In the afternoon, the Forum will discuss the outcomes of those sessions and devise next steps.
